Green Marine’s participants are committed to continually reducing their environmental footprint.

The program covers maritime activities and related land-based operations, which encompasses several types of maritime enterprises, including ports, the Seaway corporations, ship owners, terminals, and shipyards in North America.

To obtain certification, the participants must comply with several requirements, including the assessment of their environmental performance on a scale of 1 to 5 in accordance with the environmental program’s detailed framework and an external verification of the results.
