Fednav leads the way with an innovative ballast water solution for the Great Lakes

Twelve BallastAce ballast water treatment systems developed by JFE Engineering in Japan have been ordered by Fednav to equip its vessels currently under construction. The purchase order makes Fednav the first shipping company in Canada and on the Great Lakes to announce the installation of a ballast water treatment system well before the regulatory requirement.

Yellowline Asphalt Products Ltd. Joins Green Marine

Centrally located within the Hamilton Port Authority (HPA), Yellowline Asphalt Products has signed on as a participant to Green Marine, the leading voluntary environmental initiative for the maritime industry on the continent. Yellowline is entering its liquid asphalt cement terminal into the environmental certification program. Yellowline operates a brand new facility located on the Port’s redeveloped Pier 22.
