The Port of Sept-Îles launches a Citizens’ Committee

On June 16, 2025, the Port of Sept-Îles announced the creation of its first Citizens’ Committee to foster an open and constructive dialogue with the local community. Through this initiative, the port is adopting a collaborative approach, combining community engagement with a strong commitment to transparency and sustainable development.

Consisting of eight to 12 members who will be selected through a careful process, the Citizens’ Committee aims to foster an environment where citizen voices can be heard and considered in port decisions. The port is inviting all interested Sept-Îles residents to apply by completing the application form on its website to propose their candidacy in joining this collaborative effort.

By actively involving the community, the Port of Sept-Îles reaffirms its commitment to maintaining ongoing dialogue with its stakeholders. Aligned with Green Marine’s Community Relations performance indicator, the initiative reflects the port’s continual efforts to improve its environmental and social practices.
