With a keen focus on sustainability, RightShip has joined forces with NYK and Solverminds to create a product that enhances operational efficiency for ship owners and managers. The innovative Port State Control (PSC) Submission API integrates NYK's NiBiKi platform with RightShip's data platform.
The PSC Submission API eliminates the need to switch between platforms by facilitating the instant submission and retrieval of PSC inspection and deficiency data. This integration saves valuable time and promotes transparency within a ship manager’s workflows by making pending PSC deficiencies visible.
By reducing manual data entry and facilitating proactive reporting, this collaboration aligns with NYK's commitment to safe operations and cargo handling. It is expected to set a benchmark for similar sustainability-driven efficiency services.
RightShip has also unveiled its upgraded GHG 2.0 rating system, aligning it with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations for the shipping industry’s carbon reduction.
The updated GHG rating system combines the IMO's Energy Efficiency Design Index and the Existing Vessel Design Index to assess emissions for ships built since 2013 and retrofitted vessels. The new methodology also integrates the IMO’s more recently introduced Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index to estimate vessel energy efficiency in grams of carbon dioxide.
