Megan Leslie is the new president and CEO of World Wildlife Fund Canada. She takes over from David Miller, who announced his departure for a different environmental advocacy role. Prior to joining WWF, she was the federal Member of Parliament for the electoral district of Halifax from 2008 to 2015. She also served as the New Democratic Party’s critic for the environment. In 2012, she was named as one of the deputy leaders of the Official Opposition – one of the youngest MPs ever to be selected for the post. In her eyes, WWF Canada’s priority is to address the scale and scope of wildlife loss in Canada.
