New Konecranes will reduce LOGISTEC USA’s carbon footprint

North American terminal operator LOGISTEC USA has purchased two Generation 6 Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes for its terminal at the Port of Manatee in Tampa Bay, Florida. Along with improving container-handling efficiency, the eco-efficient cranes will reduce LOGISTEC’s marine carbon footprint.

With a working radius of up to 167 feet (51 metres) and a lifting capacity of 125 tons, the new Generation 6 cranes are offering high performance and reliability while lowering fuel consumption and thereby costs and emissions. The cranes also feature a higher tower cab and a stronger lifting capacity then its previous generation.

The cranes are scheduled for delivery in February.
