LOGISTEC has launched a tree planting initiative in partnership with Tree Canada to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come. A ceremonial tree planting celebration on May 28, 2019, kicked off the partnership that will see more than 50 trees planted in Contrecœur, Québec – a key community for LOGISTEC.
In collaboration with Mayor Maud Allaire of Contrecœur, the Port of Montreal and Tree Canada representatives, the LOGISTEC team had shovels in hand at Cartier-Richard and Joseph-Emilien-Chaput parks to plant 58 trees. A plaque to commemorate the tree-planting partnership will proudly be displayed at each park. For LOGISTEC, sustainability involves engaging communities with tangible initiatives that have a positive, long-lasting impact. Trees not only provide cleaner air and wildlife habitat, but help to reduce stormwater runoff and ground erosion that can pollute waterways.
