Hemmera recognized as one of Canada’s greenest employers

Leading environmental consultancy Hemmera has been deemed one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for the second consecutive year by Mediacorp Canada Inc. This annual, high-profile competition recognizes employers that lead the nation in creating a culture of environmental awareness. Hemmera’s unique culture stems from The Hemmera Way, a collective way of thinking that informs and inspires the employees’ attitudes, behaviour, actions and approach to everything they do. This year’s Greenest Employers were selected according to four key factors: unique environmental initiatives or program development; success in reducing their own environmental footprint; employee involvement in the environmental programs, including the individual contribution of unique skills; and, the success of environmental initiatives in connecting to the employer’s public identity to attract new people who share the same values. The reasons for Hemmera’s recognition include: having an employee-led environment committee; providing a range of commuter amenities; delivering an environmental orientation program for new staff; and, participating in ongoing green community initiatives.
