Five Green Marine participants have been recognized by CN for their sustainability practices, specifically: the Halifax Port Authority, HOPA Ports, the Montreal Port Authority, the Port of Saint John, the Prince Rupert Port Authority, and the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.
Through its EcoConnexions Partnership program, CN applauds companies that are committed to forging a more sustainable future by actively supporting climate action, minimizing environmental impact, and promoting biodiversity, along with adopting more sustainable and ethical business practices.
CN has acknowledged 68 of its customers, suppliers and supply chain partners for their heightened and sustained dedication to sustainability. In a move reflecting its recognition of the crucial role played by suppliers in supporting daily operations and advancing sustainability goals, CN extended the EcoConnexions Partnership to include them this year.
All the customers, suppliers, and supply chain partners have been evaluated based on their policies, targets and actions by an independent third-party specializing in sustainability.
To honour the sustainable business practices of its partners, CN is planting 100,000 trees in Canada and the United States in collaboration with Tree Canada. Through initiatives such as the EcoConnexions Partnership Program and the From the Ground Up community tree planting program, CN has successfully planted more than 2.3 million trees since 2012.
