AltaGas, the company launching Canada’s first liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) export facility, has released its first sustainability report. The document highlights the company’s 2018 performance in several key areas relevant to the long-term sustainability of its business. It also reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to transparency.
This marks the first time its performance has been consolidated and presented in a cohesive report. Moving forward, the company plans to expand the scope of its Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) efforts and to enhance the breadth of metrics and disclosure as it defines how ESG initiatives will be integrated into its corporate strategy. The report covers enterprise-wide consolidated performance metrics for the 2018 calendar year for the facilities and infrastructure that AltaGas majority-owned or operated during that timeframe.
The AltaGas Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal is located in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The terminal joined Green Marine as a participant last spring.
