A new Green Marine Europe participant: Garbage Group

Green Marine Europe welcomes a new member to its environmental certification program for the European marine industry, Garbage Group – the first Italian ship owner to join the label. The new candidate specializes in the collection, transport, treatment, recovery and proper disposal of waste, with particular expertise in marine waste management and remediation. The company’s environmental reclamation, remediation and recovery efforts include the cleaning of beaches, other sandy stretches, as well as waterways both at the surface and sub-surface levels. It provides expertise and experience in port services, marine and terrestrial depollution solutions, along with anti-pollution education.

As a candidate for the Green Marine Europe label, Garbage Group is committed to strengthening the European marine sector’s environmental performance through a process of continuous improvement, stronger relations with stakeholders, and increased overall awareness of the marine industry’s activities and environmental benefits.
