Chrstine Rigby, Vancouver Fraser Port Authority’s manager for climate action and air quality, has received the 2026 Women of Distinction Award in the Environmental Sustainability category.
Presented by YWCA BC, the Women of Distinction Awards recognize female leaders and organizations whose work is driving meaningful change in their communities. The awards serve as a fundraising initiative that highlights individuals whose efforts are creating a lasting impact.
As recipient of the Environmental Sustainability award, Rigby was recognized for her significant contribution to building a more sustainable Metro Vancouver. She was honoured for advancing practices that reduce environmental impacts and for working collaboratively to develop and promote effective environmental solutions.
At the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, Rigby has led several initiatives aimed at improving environmental performance, including emissions reduction programs, environmental standards for container trucks, and incentive-based approaches that support cleaner marine operations.
