Two Green Marine participants earn Green 75 awards

June 24, 2026

The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) and the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) have been named among Inbound Logistics Magazine’s 2026 G75 Green Supply Chain Partners, highlighting their efforts to advance environmental sustainability in port operations and logistics.

The annual recognition honours 75 organizations that demonstrate leadership in sustainable supply chain practices. The selected companies are also featured in a dedicated section of the June Sustainability edition of Inbound Logistics, providing guidance to shippers seeking environmentally responsible partners.

Both ports are advancing long-term sustainability strategies, with a strong emphasis on emissions reduction and operational transformation. The NWSA has achieved substantial emissions reductions since 2005 and is working toward a zero-emissions target by 2050. Its approach combines cleaner fuels, equipment upgrades, and system-wide efficiency improvements.

Reflecting similar priorities, GPA is pursuing a wide-ranging environmental program focused on emissions reduction, regulatory compliance, and performance monitoring. In 2024, the port established a dedicated green team to advance initiatives such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and air quality improvements. Inland port developments have also contributed to emissions reductions by reducing truck miles and improving transport efficiency across regional logistics corridors.
