Logistec and the Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority (HOPA), both long-time Green Marine participants, each won 2023 IBJ awards for Best Specialist Dry Bulk Terminal and Best Dry Bulk Port, respectively, while Green Marine partner Thordon Bearings received the Environment Protection Award.
The International Bulk Journal (IBJ) Awards salute achievements by individuals and organizations in the bulk industry. This year’s awards were presented on November 20th at a gala in London, England.
HOPA was awarded for being an efficient, safe and environmentally friendly bulk port based on customer satisfaction, recent innovation in port operations, and management delivering success in both the regional and global bulk industry.
Logistec was recognized for its demonstrated efforts in improving both operational efficiencies and customer services in recent years, as well as developing a business model relating to the specific commodity handled.
Thordon’s award highlights its recognizable contribution to decarbonization in the maritime bulk industry and reducing pollution in ocean waters as well as in and around bulk ports.
