The Port of Québec renews its commitment to sustainable tourism

The Port of Québec has renewed its Biosphere certification for sustainable tourism in 2025, reinforcing its commitment to eco-friendly practices. This renewal is supported by concrete initiatives, such as opening up the port territory to recreational tourism activities and extending the cruise season with the first winter cruises, in collaboration with Ponant, a Green Marine Europe certified ship owner.

The Port also supports local projects through a citizens' initiative fund and participates in ecological projects such as the introduction of a 100% electric shuttle for cruise passengers. Last but not least, the FLOT program, which teaches schoolchildren about the port's biodiversity, completes these efforts, supported by partners Destination Québec cité and Croisières du Saint-Laurent.
