On May 15, some 30 employees of the Port of Quebec and QSL participated in a spring clean-up operation.
They collected the equivalent of 30 large bags of trash off the beach of Beauport Bay and the port’s Beauport sector, which together span approximately one kilometre (0.62 miles) of waterfront.
The debris consisted mainly of Styrofoam and some plastic bottles. Some unusual trash was also recovered: tires, park bench remnants, a doll’s arm, beach hats and sandals, and … a B3 bingo ball!
