May 18th marks the International Day for Women in Maritime, an opportunity to recognize the vital role that women play in a now rapidly evolving industry. Green Marine International is proud to take this opportunity to highlight the women who, through their expertise and commitment, are spearheading our environmental program and inspiring stronger collaboration throughout the industry.

Our team at Green Marine International relies on dedicated women who work hard to ensure the program's credibility and global outreach. Their expertise and commitment guarantee strong support for the membership and environmental coherence across borders.

Meet the women behind our international team:

Canada
    • MANON LANTHIER  ·  Senior communications manager

      At Green Marine for over a decade, Manon leads the organization’s strategic communications. She manages internal and external communications and coordinates all the logistics for the annual GreenTech conference. Drawing on her background as a journalist, she uses compelling storytelling to strengthen the certification program’s reach and impact.

    • VÉRONIQUE TRUDEAU  ·  Program manager

      A trained biologist, Véronique applies her expertise to lead working groups focused on program development, and to coordinate the French Technical Committee and the St. Lawrence Advisory Committee, along with overseeing environmental initiatives by participants in this region. She also played a key role in developing the performance indicators related to community relations and aquatic ecosystems respectively.

    • ÉMILIE BÉDARD  ·  Communications officer

      A recent addition to Green Marine, Émilie supports internal and external communications efforts that range from social media coordination to GreenTech logistical support. With degrees in public communication and international studies, she applies her versatile expertise and creativity to promote the program’s environmental initiatives.

    • ALLISON RYAN  ·  Program manager

      With a strong scientific and interdisciplinary background, Allison supports members on the East Coast and leads the North Atlantic Advisory Committee. Her dedication to the program’s continued enhancement is reflected through her work on program updates and development, as well as in her support for the external verification process.

United States
    • ELEANOR KIRTLEY  ·  Senior program manager

      Holding a PhD in naval engineering, Eleanor joined Green Marine in 2014 by opening the first U.S. office. She coordinates the development of criteria for ship owners and leads several committees, including the Ship Owners Committee and the West Coast Advisory Committee. Actively engaged in the field, she supports American participants and the program’s advancement while boosting Green Marine’s presence in the Pacific Northwest maritime community.

    • BRITTNEY BLOKKER  ·  Program manager

      With strong experience in maritime management and sustainability, Brittney supports U.S. participants and coordinates the Great Lakes Advisory Committee. Since 2021, she has contributed to the evolution of Green Marine’s environmental program, notably through revising program requirements, especially for shipyards.

Europe
    • ANTIDIA CITORES   ·  General manager, Green Marine Europe

      With a PhD in energy, environmental, and natural resources law, Antidia has been a key contributor to Green Marine Europe since its launch in 2020 and officially took the helm of the European program in February 2025. She oversees institutional representation and strategic development. Her advocacy expertise, acquired at Surfrider Foundation Europe, strengthens the program’s alignment with the maritime industry’s major transitions.

    • Pasquine Albertini  ·  Communications manager, Europe

      Pasquine joined Green Marine Europe in April 2025 to lead its communications strategy. With a background in institutional communications and corporate social responsibility, particularly in maritime transportation, she ensures message consistency and drives engagement throughout the European network.

  • STEPHANIE JONES STEBBINS  ·  Chair of the board
    Managing Director – Maritime, Port of Seattle

    Appointed chair of the board in May 2024, Stephanie is a leader who combines strategic vision with a strong commitment to the environment. She oversees the maritime operations at the Port of Seattle with an integrated approach focused on sustainability and community engagement, while also leading innovative port development projects.

  • JAN ALLMAN  ·  Board member
    Chief Executive Officer, Fincantieri Marinette Marine

    With a strong background in shipbuilding, Jan has overseen critical projects for the U.S. Navy. Her dedication to advancing safety standards, operational efficiency, and innovation has been recognized with several prestigious industry awards.

  • ISABELLE BRASSARD  ·  Governance and Human Resources committee member
    Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Fednav

    With extensive international experience in operations management and sustainable development, Isabelle plays a central role in Fednav’s strategy. Her leadership and deep understanding of global issues enrich the committee’s discussions, especially at a pivotal time for the program’s global expansion.

  • CLAUDINE COUTURE-TRUDEL  ·  Chair of the Finance Committee
    Vice President, ESG Policy and Future Initiatives, QSL

    Renowned for her inclusive leadership and project management expertise, Claudine applies her wide-ranging multi-sector knowledge to strengthen QSL’s ESG efforts. Her strategic focus on responsible innovation extends to her roles on multiple maritime industry boards.

  • DEB DELUCA  ·  Board member
    Executive Director, Duluth Seaway Port Authority

    Deb, the first woman to head the Duluth Seaway Port Authority, has played a vital role in regional maritime governance. She stands out for her balanced approach to economic growth and environmental care in port projects. After a distinguished career, she will step down in May 2025, leaving a lasting legacy in the maritime community.

 

These women, through their expertise and determination, are charting a course towards a more inclusive, equitable and innovatively sustainable maritime industry. The International Day for Women in Maritime is a welcomed invitation to recognize their contributions, and to maintain a shared commitment to ensuring diversified talents are fully appreciated at all levels of the industry.
