Sollio Agriculture joins Green Marine as a participant

The agricultural division of Sollio Cooperative Group, Sollio Agriculture is a Canadian leader in agriculture, specializing in supplying agricultural inputs and value-added agronomic services for the benefit of farmers, cooperatives, and partners. Having a business model that combines the strength of a local approach with a national presence, Sollio Agriculture offers innovative products and solutions, supports the adoption of more sustainable farming practices, and contributes to the prosperity of Canadian farming families. With nearly 1,300 employees nationwide, the company reported sales of $2.8 billion in 2023.

As part of its environmental commitment, Sollio Agriculture revised its policy in 2022 to align it with that of the Sollio Cooperative Group which is based on the ISO 14001 standard. This approach underscores the company's dedication to sustainable agriculture, taking into account human, ethical, environmental, and economic aspects.

Sollio Agriculture has embarked on a corporate responsibility action plan structured around eights commitments and 20 measurable goals to be achieved by 2025. Specific indicators are used to closely monitor the organization's impact and continuously improve its social and environmental responsibility performance.

An Environmental Management System (EMS) based on the ISO 14001:2015 standard has been implemented in Sollio Agriculture's strategic facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance while improving the environmental efficiency of its marine terminals and other facilities. As part of the program, Sollio Agriculture has committed to the certification process for the three maritime terminals it owns along the Seaway.
