On June 12th, Seaspan Energy completed its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering operation for a pure car and truck carrier at the Port of Long Beach. The company’s LNG bunkering vessel Seaspan Baker transferred LNG to the Plumeria Leader, operated by NYK Line, using ship-to-ship technology.
Earlier this year, Seaspan completed its first ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation in Canada, and the first LNG bunkering of a cruise ship.
The company intends to expand its LNG bunkering services on North America’s West Coast.
