San Francisco Bay Ferry has joined Green Marine, the maritime sector's leading voluntary environmental certification initiative. This commitment highlights its dedication to advancing eco-friendly ferry services, contributing to a sustainable future for the San Francisco Bay Area.

San Francisco Bay Ferry will conduct an in-depth assessment of its environmental practices to achieve Green Marine certification. This detailed evaluation covers issues such as greenhouse gases and air pollutants, oily discharge, waste management, and ship recycling. The certification process is rigorous and transparent, with results independently verified every two years and individual results released annually.
