RightShip is set to acquire Thynk Software’s maritime tech business

After launching an innovative platform in collaboration with Thynk, RightShip is further capitalizing on the platform’s success by acquiring Thynk Software’s maritime technology business.

In April 2020, RightShip announced its desire to develop and launch the new platform to provide the industry with several benefits identified as required at the time, especially with pandemic-related changes. The new platform was built with the input of numerous people in the industry to offer several key advantages:

• All services are available through one easy-to-use digital portal, accessible through desktop, mobile or tablet devices.
• Greater transparency is provided about all services and status updates, plus new ways to communicate with RightShip’s experts and other industry stakeholders.    

• Increased stability and versatility better support the platform’s users in their daily operations.

Since its launch 18 months ago, the platform has been widely embraced by the market.

The strategic purchase of Thynk will provide RightShip with its own inhouse technology expertise, which supports its goal of becoming an industry-leading ESG-focused digital maritime platform.  Upon the acquisition’s completion, scheduled for September 1st, Thynk’s CEO and staff of 30 will join RightShip.
