Results of the Port of Sept-Îles public consultation help to create a new vision

The Port of Sept-Îles has shared the results of its recent public consultation titled "Reimagine the Heart of Sept-Îles." Launched last fall, this initiative invited the community to contribute to the future vision of the port lands in the lower part of the city.

The port's initiative aligns with Green Marine’s recent community relations performance indicator and the AIVP mission, an international movement dedicated to improving the city-port relationship by fostering dialogue and cooperation among local communities, port authorities, citizens, and economic stakeholders.

The ideas highlight several priority areas, such as enhancing urban and natural spaces, promoting cultural and artistic development, raising environmental awareness, boosting tourism and recreation, and improving public infrastructure.

The port is committed to incorporating as many ideas as possible into its future development projects, demonstrating its commitment to the local community. Concrete announcements will soon be made to implement these projects and meet the aspirations of Sept-Îles residents.
