In honour of Global Recycling Day on March 18th, the Port of Sept-Îles launched a regular organic waste collection at its offices. The initiative aligns with its ESG goals focused on advancing its environmental practices and reducing its ecological footprint.
As part of this change, port employees participated in waste management training provided by the Corporation de protection de l'environnement de Sept-Îles (CPESI) to improve their understanding and application of good waste reduction practices.
As a major port in the mining industry, handling nearly 30 million tons of cargo annually, the Port of Sept-Îles continues to position itself as a key player in sustainable development. As a Green Marine member, the port’s actions in waste management reinforce its commitment to a greener future.
