Port of Quebec renews Biosphere certification

For the third consecutive year, the Port of Québec has renewed its Biosphere certification, obtained alongside Destination Québec cité, which leads this initiative across the region. The certification recognizes efforts to further integrate sustainable practices into port operations.

This renewal is part of an ongoing journey toward greater environmental responsibility and operational excellence. It demonstrates the port’s commitment to continually improving its practices and reducing the environmental impact of its activities.

Throughout the year, the port continued to build on its sustainability commitments by investing in employee awareness and training, strengthening workplace health, safety and wellness programs, and implementing environmental improvement projects. These projects included electrification measures, the addition of charging stations and the integration of greener landscapes within port areas.
