New podcast sheds light on Quebec’s maritime sector

The Human Resources Sectorial Committee of the Maritime Industry (CSMOIM) has released BIENVENUE À BORD, a new French podcast series dedicated to highlighting the industry’s realities and the people behind it.

Hosted by Marie-Andrée Lemelin Breton, Vice-President, Talent, Culture and Communications at the Port of Quebec, the series targets both industry professionals and those curious to learn more about it. It offers a deeper understanding of an industry that is still not widely known through the voices of people who experience it daily.

During five episodes, the podcast explores key issues shaping industry practices, including work–life balance, harmony on board, and leadership dynamics in a maritime context. It also offers insights into how work is organized, both at sea and on shore.

The shift toward sustainability also features prominently. In the fourth episode, Noémie Giguère, Executive Director of Innovation Maritime, a Green Marine partner, explores how to balance maritime transportation, efficiency and sustainability. She shares a unifying message for those looking to help build a more sustainable and resilient future for the maritime industry.

The podcast, available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, also includes perspectives from representatives of three Green Marine participants: Desgagnés, Reformar, and CSL.
