Drew Marine has expanded its maritime fuel treatment solutions by acquiring all rights, intellectual property, and technical documentation related to CD92 Mycronizer technology from Schiffs & Industrietechnik GmbH (SIT). The versatile compact device addresses both environmental compliance and operational performance, complementing Drew Marine’s extensive fuel treatment portfolio.
“This acquisition aligns with our strategy of combining innovation with practical onboard solutions,” says Scot R. Benson, Drew Marine’s CEO. “The CD92 Mycronizer offers immediate value to owners looking to increase efficiency and long-term reliability.”
For decades, Drew Marine has provided products and solutions to address the full spectrum of marine fuel challenges. These include fuel mills and products to enhance fuel stability, improve combustion efficiency, prevent microbial growth, control sludge and deposits, optimize cold flow performance, and support water separation. These solutions are particularly relevant as the maritime industry adapts to new fuel regulations and more stringent environmental standards.
The CD92 Mycronizer delivers two critical capabilities:
By incorporating the CD92 Mycronizer’s versatile capacity range, Drew Marine delivers a complete line of fuel homogenization equipment, chemical treatments, and test monitoring solutions, along with remote and onboard technical support. “This proven technology is an important addition to Drew's fuel management program,” Benson says.
The CD92 will be integrated into Drew Marine’s New Build program and is already supported worldwide by the company’s technical service network. The company’s integrated approach helps ship owners and operators to optimize fuel quality, reduce waste, and ensure regulatory compliance across a wide range of fuel types.
