The Wisconsin Ports serves as the public voice, organizational advocate and go-to resource for the importance of Wisconsin’s port industry. Surrounded by Lake Michigan, Lake Superior and the Mississippi River, the State of Wisconsin is essential to maritime transportation in the United States. Wisconsin’s ports contribute to the state’s economy and the wellbeing of its waterfront communities. Wisconsin Ports’ mission is to promote and sustainably enhance waterborne transportation within the state’s 14 port cities as well as Wisconsin’s overall maritime economy.
