Logistec’s president and CEO, Madeleine Paquin, has been appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada for her role in leading innovation in supply chain practices and environmental protection, which are two major drivers of change in the Canadian economy. She is among 125 individuals being honoured by the Order of Canada this year.
Paquin has overseen Logistec’s development for more than 20 years, creating a network of port infrastructure and services to facilitate trade so that Canada, and now the United States, can boast having some of the world’s most competitive supply chains. She was also quick to realize that a healthy environment and a vibrant, robust economy go hand in hand, which is why she decided that the Logistec family had to find reliable, innovative solutions to help organizations face environmental challenges. Her approach has been pivotal to establishing Logistec as an environmental trailblazer. Logistec is one of the Green Marine environmental certification program’s founding members.
