LOGISTEC USA operating two new energy-efficient mobile harbour cranes

On Earth Day, April 22, LOGISTEC USA and SeaPort Manatee took delivery of two new energy-efficient Konecranes Gottwald Generation 6 mobile harbour cranes.

The acquisition is intended to meet SeaPort Manatee’s historic growth in cargo volume by giving LOGISTEC USA the means to increase the handling capacity at its terminal operations.

In addition to increasing cargo-handling efficiency, these cranes will reduce the carbon footprint of maritime operations and contribute to improving air quality in the Tampa Bay region.

With a reach of up to 167 feet (51 metres) and a lifting capacity of 125 tons, the new Generation 6 cranes offer high performance and reliability while reducing fuel consumption, costs and emissions. Together the two cranes offer a tandem lifting capacity of more than 200 tons, the heaviest of any Florida port.
