Imagine Marine offers a new bilingual employment site

The Canadian Marine Careers Foundation (CMCF) has launched a new user-friendly platform that aims to simplify the process of finding a job within Canada's maritime industry.

At a time of numerous retirements, the Imagine Marine job site facilitates connections between job seekers and maritime companies eager to hire new people.

The CMCF reports that over the next decade, 43% of the marine workforce will retire. This will require 19,000 jobs to be filled on board Canadian ships, with many other openings land side.

On the cusp of these labour shortages, the platform adds to the CMCF's toolkit for workforce development in the industry. In partnership with student and employment organizations, the site will raise career awareness while promoting the diverse range of Canada's maritime professions.

The platform is available in English and French, and free to CMCF members.
