GSTS develops green shipping corridor AI with the Port of Montreal

The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) is collaborating with Global Spatial Technology Solutions  (GSTS), a Green Marine partner, to provide real-time green shipping corridor data to vessels through its OCIANA™ artificial intelligence (AI) platform.

Committed to optimizing the efficiency of vessels calling at its docks, the MPA is seeking to help ships to establish initially low- and ultimately zero-carbon routes, which includes coordinating their port arrival with berth availability.

OCIANA™ provides vessel and port optimization and maritime risk management solutions for the global maritime market. The AI platform ingests a wide range of operational and oceanographic data sets which, through proprietary analysis, support decisions-making for the safe and efficient transportation of people and goods on all waterways.

An original OCIANA™ consortium member, the MPA has been working with GSTS to ensure that the platform’s capabilities are developed to meet the objectives and needs of ports and shipping lines.
