Greenfield Global was chosen to be featured in the Bioenergy Horizons documentary series, which premiered at the UN-sponsored COP30 conference in Belém, Brazil. Produced by the World Bioenergy Association and Black Rook Media, the series highlights bioenergy leaders delivering scalable, lower-carbon energy solutions, and Greenfield Global’s episode presents its model as innovation rooted in action.
The episode explores Greenfield Global’s farm-to-biorefinery model, showing how community partnerships and strong quality systems support lower-carbon ethanol and renewable energy across North America. It highlights the company’s circular energy model, featuring SEMECS, an organization partially owned and operated by Greenfield Global and one of North America’s largest anaerobic digestion facilities, where 120,000 metric tons of municipal organic waste are converted annually into renewable natural gas that partially powers the adjacent biorefinery. It further showcases the Johnstown, Ontario, facility, where 1,800 metric tons of corn are processed daily into ethanol and co-products for fuel, agricultural, and industrial markets.
The episode also shows long-term agricultural partnerships that anchor Greenfield Global’s business model, including a fourth-generation farm owner and operator whose family’s 125-year connection to the land now supports Canada’s lower-carbon future. It showcases how each part of the crop is used efficiently and how water is carefully treated and returned to the St. Lawrence Seaway, reflecting the company’s commitment to resource stewardship and sustainability.
Greenfield Global’s commitment to voluntary ESG reporting is another point of focus. While the company has no obligation to release sustainability data, it publishes annual reports to track progress and maintain transparency, reaffirming support for customers and communities dependent on trustworthy lower-carbon supply chains.
