The Great Lakes Maritime Research Institute (GLMRI) is a University of Wisconsin-Superior and University of Minnesota Duluth consortium that supports sustainable maritime commerce on the Great Lakes. GLMRI brings together the strengths of the two host universities, along with the research capabilities of other Great Lakes academia. Established in 2004, GLMRI has been designated by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration as the National Maritime Enhancement Institute for the Great Lakes.
The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is an air-quality management agency serving King, Kitsap, Pierce and Snohomish counties in Washington State. Created as a result of the 1967 Washington Clean Air Act, the agency protects public health by adopting and enforcing air quality regulations, educating individuals and businesses about clean-air choices, and sponsoring voluntary initiatives to improve air quality.
