Green Marine welcomes new expertise to its 2021 board

June 14, 2021

Quebec City, Monday June 14, 2021 – Green Marine held its 2021 annual general meeting on Wednesday, June 9, electing a new female director to its board: Isabelle Brassard, Senior Vice-President, Logistics and Sustainable Development at Fednav Limited. Green Marine is delighted to welcome her to its governing body, bringing to four the number of women serving among the board’s nine directors.

With her international experience at Rio Tinto, notably as Global Vice President, Marine and Logistics, which is the position she held in Singapore prior to joining Fednav last fall, Ms. Brassard brings a wealth of expertise that is timely with the international expansion of the Green Marine environmental certification program.

“Isabelle has worked all over the world – in Canada, the United States, the Middle East and Asia, » notes Green Marine Executive Director David Bolduc. “Her fresh perspective and international outlook will be invaluable to our program’s development. »

Both Cliff Stewart, the Vice President – Infrastructure at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, and Michael Fratianni, the President and CEO of Montréal Gateway Terminals Partnership, were elected to a second term. Mr. Fratianni will continue lead the board as chair, backed by Mark Barker, the President of Interlake Steamship Company, as vice-chair, and by Brandy Christian, the President and CEO of the Port of New Orleans, as treasurer.

Corporate leadership is a pivotal element in Green Marine’s success. The board’s role is to represent the interests of all members in determining the program’s vision and strategic direction and to provide oversight in the conduct of Green Marine Management Corporation activities.

Green Marine also expresses sincere thanks to Allister Paterson, the Executive Vice President and COO at CSL Group, for all of the time, effort and wise advice that he provided while serving on Green Marine’s board over the past six years.
