Green Marine welcomes Deb DeLuca as a new board member!

October 19, 2022

The Green Marine board of directors has nominated Deb DeLuca, Executive Director of the Duluth Seaway Port Authority, to fill the seat vacated when Craig H. Middlebrook retired from the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation at the end of September. Under Green Marine’s bylaws, she must seek official election at the next AGM in June 2023.

Deb is the first woman to lead the Duluth Seaway Port Authority in its 67-year history. She is currently the Minnesota Ports Association’s President and an executive committee member of APEX, a regional economic and business development organization. She is also a board member of the Iron Mining Association of Minnesota and of the Chamber of Marine Commerce. She additionally serves as an alternate Minnesota commissioner on the Great Lakes Commission.

Green Marine wishes to thank Craig for his extraordinary commitment to the environmental certification program. Since day one, when the program was launched 15 years ago, his valued support has been constant and determined. Craig's engagement on Green Marine’s board of directors from 2017 until this autumn has been nothing short of remarkable.

A big thank you also goes out to former BC Ferries President and CEO Mark Collins for his engagement on the Green Marine board. Mark served on the board from June 2019 to August 2022.
