Green Marine renews its carbon-balanced business certification

For the eighth consecutive year, Green Marine has received Planetair's carbon-balanced business certification. This was achieved by offsetting Green Marine’s carbon footprint associated with its 2025 operations through Gold Standard-certified carbon offset projects.

With the assistance of Planetair, Green Marine calculated and offset the greenhouse gas emissions generated by all its US and Canadian staff's work-related travel (including daily commutes), infrastructure operations, waste management, electricity use, and paper consumption in 2025. All the operations carried out through remote work and digital communications – such as online work and presence, newsletters, emails, video calls, and virtual gatherings of committees and working groups – have also been included in the calculation. The digital footprint of the Smart Guide, the web assessment tool used by certified participants, was also taken into account.

Green Marine purchased the equivalent of 39.5 metric tons of CO2 in carbon credits.
