Transport Canada is designating a total of $14.7 million in funding to 14 projects through the Clean Vessel Demonstration Stream of its Green Shipping Corridors Program with all but one of the grants awarded to Green Marine participants.
In announcing the funding on July 16th, Canada’s Transport Minister Pablo Rodriguez said the funding will increase the readiness of clean vessels by using leading-edge low- and zero-emission technologies. “It will help to address potential barriers to the deployment of clean vessel innovations in Canada and build the capacity of the Canadian industry to adopt decarbonization solutions for their vessels…” he stated.
