Green Marine International (GMI) now offers two Partner membership tiers: Standard and Signature. Presented to partners at information sessions held on October 14 and 15, 2026, the new structure allows each organization to choose the option that best suits its goals and budget while strengthening visibility for all partners. The new structure will come into effect in January 2027.
Two tiers, one international network
The tiered model is designed to meet organizations where they are:
- Standard Partner: strong foundational visibility and communications support, including membership announcements, a Partner Directory listing and access to the Communications team.
- Signature Partner: all Standard benefits, plus enhanced visibility, industry connection opportunities and the chance to showcase expertise in GMI-hosted webinars.
Whether an organization is based in Canada, the United States, Europe, or elsewhere, membership provides international visibility among Green Marine and Green Marine Europe participants.
Benefits for all partners
All partners, regardless of tier, receive:
- A Partner Directory profile: organisation overview, logo, regional contacts, unlimited keywords and category tagging.
- A new filter by performance indicator, helping participants identify products, services and equipment relevant to each indicator of the environmental programs.
- Membership announcements in the Green Marine and Green Marine Europe newsletters (more than 5,000 subscribers), on both organizations' LinkedIn pages and, permanently, on the website.
- Communications support to develop and promote news, case studies, projects and collaborative initiatives, including on the "Spotlight on Partners" page.
- Preferential rates/access at the Green Marine and Green Marine Europe annual events.
- Use of the Partner logo to display their commitment to the continual improvement of the maritime industry's environmental performance.
- New: membership milestones. For every five consecutive years of membership, partners receive a personalized congratulatory email and recognition in the newsletter.
The directory itself is also being refreshed, with categories grouped in collapsible drawers for a clearer view and profiles that open on mouse-over.
Additional Signature benefits
Signature partners also benefit from:
- Facilitated industry connections: up to three introductions per year to GMI participants, requested through an online form. Each request is reviewed against pre-determined guidelines and must support environmental improvement or align with GMI's mission. Introductions aim to foster meaningful technical or environmental collaboration, with no guarantee of commercial outcome.
- Partner webinars: participation in a GMI-hosted Zoom webinar featuring up to three Signature partners (thematically grouped whenever possible). Each partner gives a 15-minute presentation on its expertise and how its solutions support specific performance indicators, followed by a 15-minute Q&A. Webinars are promoted to the GMI distribution list, scheduled in timeslots suited to two time zones, and posted afterwards on the Green Marine and Green Marine Europe YouTube channels.
- Increased visibility: a distinct badge in the directory listing and profile, logo on a rolling banner on the directory homepage, an exclusive listing in the Annual Performance Reports, featured recognition in newsletters, and advance notice of GreenTech exhibitor registration.
- Amplified milestones: recognition every three years, including social media visibility.
