A GLOBE Award nomination!
Green Marine’s environmental program is one of three finalists for the GLOBE Foundation’s 2014 Association Award for Sustainable Leadership. The winner will be announced March 28th during the closing luncheon of the GLOBE Foundation’s international conference and exposition on business and the environment being held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver, B.C.
The award will be presented to an organization representing an industry, sector or business collaborative that has shown leadership by going beyond regulatory compliance to develop a collective commitment across its sector or industry towards improved environmental performance through research, development and education in partnership with governments, non-governmental organizations, communities and other stakeholders. The Association Award for Sustainable Leadership acknowledges how environmental leadership often transcends individual companies to extend across an entire sector or industry.
Each year since 2002 the GLOBE Foundation has proudly recognized outstanding achievement in environmental stewardship with the GLOBE Awards for Environmental Excellence. Considered to be the most high-profile national awards series of its type, the GLOBE Awards are judged by a panel of experts recognized in the Canadian business community.
