Fincantieri Marinette Marine joins Wisconsin’s Green Tier program

Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM) has become a Tier 1 participant in the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Green Tier program. 

Green Tier recognizes organizations that are taking a systematic approach to their commitment of going above and beyond regulatory compliance to improve their environmental performance. The voluntary program requires companies to have a functioning Environmental Management System (EMS) guiding their environmental improvement objectives.

FMM’s environmental goals include consuming less water and energy at its facility, as well as increasing the environmental awareness of employees in the course of their daily work.  

In addition to having an ISO 14001 certified environmental management system, FMM joined Green Marine in January 2022 and was certified by the program in June based on  its reported 2021 environmental performance.
