Enstructure LLC, the owner and operator of a network of marine terminals, warehouses, cold storage facilities, and logistics assets, is the newest participant in Green Marine, the leading voluntary environmental certification program for North America's maritime industry. Enstructure's decision emphasizes its resolve to institute a framework for a formal sustainability program within its operations.
"Joining Green Marine's comprehensive program aligns with our core values," said Matthew Satnick, Enstructure’s co-CEO. Co-CEO Phillippe De Montigny added: "Using this program's step-by-step criteria will focus our efforts to continually enhance our environmental performance and support a more sustainable future.”
David Bolduc, Green Marine’s President and CEO, welcomed Enstructure’s commitment. "We applaud Enstructure for its proactive approach to environmental stewardship," he said. "By joining Green Marine, Enstructure will leverage a clear framework to set and achieve ambitious environmental goals, enhancing both their performance and the industry’s standards."
To obtain Green Marine certification, Enstructure will benchmark its environmental performance for issues such as greenhouse gases, spill prevention and stormwater management, waste management, and community relations. The certification process is rigorous and transparent, with results independently verified every two years, and each participant's individual performance made public annually.
