David Bolduc takes helm of the SLGO board of directors

The St. Lawrence Global Observatory (SLGO) has appointed David Bolduc, Green Marine International’s president and CEO, as chair of its board for 2025-2026.

“I am honoured by this appointment,” he says. “The SLGO plays a key role in gathering, sharing, and leveraging data and knowledge on the Saint Lawrence ecosystem to support research, navigation, and river protection.”

With experience as a board member from 2022 to 2024 and vice-chair from 2024 to 2025, Bolduc brings a deep understanding of the organization and its challenges, along with recognized expertise in governance and maritime sustainability.

Maxence St-Onge, SLGO’s executive director, expressed confidence in the support of the new chair and an engaged board as the organization celebrates its 20th anniversary and continues to strengthen its partnerships with the scientific and maritime communities.

Founded in 2005, the SLGO is Canada’s first integrated ocean monitoring system.
