CSL reinforces its ESG commitment with its 2023 sustainable development report

In its newly published sustainable development (SD) report, CSL highlights its steadfast commitment to transparency and accountability in terms of environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters. The report, which reflects significant progress, marks a crucial step in the decarbonization of the company’s operations. The environmental highlights include:

• The use of 16,377 metric tons of B100 biofuel on eight ships.
• A 29% reduction in carbon intensity compared to 2005 levels.
• 8% of total energy was derived from renewable sources.
• A 6% increase in recycling volume.

CSL’s 2023 SD report provides transparent data in line with global sustainability standards. A founding member of Green Marine, CSL has its detailed certification results in the report, as well as the various initiatives it has put forward in collaboration with the program, particularly in terms of reducing air emissions and underwater noise, as well as ship recycling.
