Croisières AML has proudly obtained the globally recognized Biosphere certification, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development. The Biosphere certification, managed by the Responsible Tourism Institute, is an international system that supports destinations and businesses in defining and implementing sustainable goals. With over 25 years of experience, Biosphere offers a personalized model for developing sustainable practices, including annual reviews and external audits.
Yan Hamel, CEO of Croisières AML, expressed pride in this achievement, noting it aligns with the company’s long-standing dedication to sustainability in the maritime and tourism sectors. He also acknowledged the employees' efforts and thanked Destination Québec City for their support throughout the certification process.
In addition to Biosphere, Croisières AML has been a member of Green Marine since 2012, aiming to improve environmental performance in areas such as biodiversity, air quality, and community relations. As a co-founding member of the Eco-Whale Alliance, Croisières AML also sets high standards for eco-responsible whale-watching practices.
