Green Marine is proud to partner with researchers from the Solvay Business School of Economics and Management (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), who have agreed to closely collaborate in the Green Marine Secretariat’s work in developing a new performance indicator for ports and terminals to gauge their community relations.
Professor Michael Dooms, a world-renowne1d expert in the field, is able to directly support Green Marine as part of a six-year project led by the University of British Columbia and the Copenhagen Business School titled The Green Shipping Project – Governance and Innovation for a Sustainable Maritime Supply Chain. Bruno Moeremans, a PhD student, spent two weeks at the Green Marine office in Quebec City in February to help develop a questionnaire that will soon be distributed to our participants. The survey’s results will factor into the thinking of our working groups focused on the new indicator’s development in addition to contributing to the scientific research on this subject.
