Several Green Marine participants have been recognized by CN Rail for their dedication to sustainability through its EcoConnexions Partnership Program.
The Halifax Port Authority, the Prince Rupert Port Authority, and the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority have each received the Silver designation for their sustainability efforts. The Port of Montreal, HOPA Ports, and McAsphalt Industries each have Bronze status.
“We are proud to work with partners who share our vision and commitment to building a sustainable future,” says Remi G. Lalonde, CN’s executive vice-president and chief commercial officer. “Sustainability is a journey that requires collaboration across the entire supply chain.”
CN has expanded the program to recognize partners at the Gold, Silver and Bronze levels for the first time. The railway is planting 100,000 trees in partnership with Tree Canada to celebrate the achievements of the 73 recognized partners.
