CIOOS Atlantic joins Green Marine as a new supporter improving access to ocean data

Green Marine is pleased to welcome the Canadian Integrated Ocean Observing System (CIOOS) Atlantic to its supporters’ network, strengthening a shared commitment to advancing environmental knowledge and practices through improved access to ocean data.

CIOOS Atlantic is a consortium of partners focused on integrating oceanographic data from the Atlantic seaboard, a region spanning from Labrador to the US East Coast. It offers an open-access platform that provides high-quality, regionally tailored data products to a broad range of end-users, including coastal communities, ocean industries, government, researchers, First Nations, and non-governmental organizations.

CIOOS Atlantic is Canada's East Coast Regional Association of the CIOOS, Canada's backbone for ocean data, uniting diverse sectors and partners to drive impact, generate insights, and foster collaboration.

CIOOS Atlantic broadens the reach of Green Marine’s efforts and encourages high-standard environmental practices in the maritime industry. By fostering collaboration around oceanographic data, it contributes to a broader exchange of environmental knowledge and expands the scope of collective sustainability work within Green Marine’s network.
