Canadian views on shipping industry explored by Clear Seas

The independent research centre Clear Seas and the Anguis Reid Institute have partnered on a third study gauging the perceptions of Canadians about the marine industry. The 2020 nationwide poll builds on the benchmark survey done in 2016 and repeated two years later.
In the latest opinion poll the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic might have had on the overall awareness of Canadians about the maritime sector and its role in both the national and global supply chain is taken into consideration.
A newly developed Shipping Confidence Index is designed to providing a ranking of differing viewpoints regarding marine transportation issues by poll respondents grouped as shipping supporters, maritime moderates, or cautious critics.
