Bureau d'écologie appliquée joins Green Marine as an partner member

The Bureau d'écologie appliquée (BEA) is a multidisciplinary environmental consulting firm. This work cooperative was established as a socio-economic enterprise in 1986. Its experience is recognized in the characterization of various natural ecosystems. Provincial and federal government departments, municipalities, conservation organizations, consulting and engineering firms and private landowners all call on its services. The BEA has established standards of excellence through its various collaborations.

Based in Lévis, Quebec, the BEA has carried out a wide range of activities relating to animal and plant ecology, aquatic environments, terrestrial environments, botany, species at risk, invasive alien species, resource management and development, biodiversity-friendly developments, geomatics applied to the environment, scientific communications and outreach, as well as training. The BEA’s characterization skills have been used to produce management plans, conservation plans and various publications on a wide range of scales, from a private woodland to that of a municipal territory or regional municipal county, to an entire watershed or even a region. Inventory protocols and innovative environmental monitoring programs are also part of the BEA’s expertise.
