Green Marine Program Manager Thomas Grégoire will take part in the Blue Accounting Maritime Transportation Project. The workgroup will gather and present information to track the progress in achieving the goals outlined by governors and premier in their 2016 Strategy for the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Maritime Transportation System. The objectives include doubling maritime trade with support to the region’s industrial core while reducing the network’s environmental footprint. The collected data will help regional decision-makers to set priorities and allocate resources for the network’s overall advancement. Several Green Marine members are also taking part, including the Chamber of Marine Commerce, the Association of Canadian Port Authorities, the Shipping Federation of Canada, the St. Lawrence Economic Development Council, and Fednav.
